I love fashion, it’s awesome, but I believe there is a better way to manage wardrobes and get more wear out of what you already own.
The Wardrobe Angel is 4 years old but I’ve been interested in clothes since I was 2 years old! My Mum remembers me being a very stubborn toddler about what I would, and wouldn’t wear! This passion led me to the M&S Graduate scheme where I trained to be Visual Merchandising Manager and then onto H&M, with a stint as the VM Manager at the London Flagship store, and finally to New Look as a Regional Visual Manager.
I suffered a serious wardrobe
malfunction around 2009 when I moved to Dubai and back. That’s not a story you
can get the full hilarity of in a biopic but suffice to say it was serious
enough that I set up my own business off the back of it and haven’t stopped
since. The underpinning of my business is
sustainable, workable, wearable wardrobes. The average British woman has over
£1000 of unused or under-worn (worn once) clothing in her wardrobe and on
average we wear less than half of the items in our wardrobes, yet we shop shop
shop and spend over £1000 a year on clothing. And don’t get me started on
what’s going into landfill!! I love fashion, it’s awesome, but I believe there
is a better way to manage wardrobes and get more wear out of what you already
own. My Wardrobe Angel client range from teachers to TV producers, Shamanic healers to solicitors and I feel incredibly blessed to go to 'work' everyday decluttering and styling wardrobes, especially when it doesn't feel like work.
